Employee Health and Safety

At ATCO Pipelines, employee and contractor safety is a top priority. We have accomplished a goal of "zero" workplace lost time injuries for nine consecutive years and have strived to maintain a strong safety culture within our organization.

Our employees have worked 5.3 million person hours without a Lost-time Injury. This remarkable accomplishment is a credit to our ongoing efforts in striving to create a strong safety culture throughout our organization.

Providing a safe workplace for our employees is an integral part of the ATCO Pipelines goal to achieve operational excellence. We believe it is our responsibility to provide the safest possible work environment for our employees and to strive with them for an incident-free operating environment.

Target Zero is a challenge to employees to work injury, incident and collision free. It is thought of and promoted as a personal challenge to every employee - to pursue Target Zero each and every day.

ATCO Pipelines holds a Certificate of Recognition (COR) which is awarded to employers who develop health and safety programs that meet established standards, as established by Alberta Employment and Immigration.

Promoting health and safety matters to us and we integrate these practices into all aspects of our work. ATCO Pipelines is committed to providing a healthy and safe work environment that protects employees, contractors, the public and property from injury, damage or loss.
